SYNOPSIS

FEB 14 2019 23:55:00 HST
FEB 15 2019 19:55:00 UTC

Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters:
Strong high pressure far north of the islands is currently being disrupted by a low northeast of the Big Island. This will bring locally strong northeast trade winds through this afternoon across waters west of the Big Island. Near the Big Island, winds will be out of the northwest, especially over the windward waters. As the low shifts north and west today and Saturday, winds will be shifting across the state. The low will pass near Kauai on Sunday, and then move west of the area early next week.
