The tropical weather summary is issued at the beginning of each month from July to December, summarizing the previous month's tropical cyclone activity.

For the central North Pacific, between 140W and 180W:

There were no tropical cyclones in the Central Pacific Hurricane
Center, CPHC, area of responsibility during the month of November.

All six of the tropical cyclones in the central Pacific this season
(Hector, Lane, Miriam, Norman, Olivia and Walaka) reached hurricane
intensity. In addition, Hector, Lane, Norman and Walaka became
major hurricanes while they moved through the CPHC area of
responsibility. Two tropical cyclones, Lane and Olivia, directly
impacted the main Hawaiian Islands. In addition, Hurricane Walaka
moved across portions of the Papahanaumokuakea Marine National
