For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180W:
1. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms associated with a surface
trough located about 1150 miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii
have decreased in coverage and intensity overnight. However,
environmental conditions appear to be conducive for some gradual
development of this system during the next few days while it
moves westward across the central Pacific.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent.
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent.
Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected during the next 5
days.
