Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. The Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu Hawaii is issuing advisories on tropical depression Henriette, located about 350 miles south of South Point on the Big Island of Hawaii, under AWIPS header TCPCP3 and WMO header WTPA33 PHFO.

2. A trough of low pressure located about 1400 miles east-southeast of the Big Island of Hawaii continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Development, if any, of this disturbance is expected to be slow to occur during the next few days while it moves westward at 10 to 15 mph. This system has a low chance, 10 percent, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours, and a low chance, 10 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Tuesday morning.
