The Lihue airport set rainfall records on March 4th and 5th, with 24-hour totals of 3.31 and 8.64 inches, respectively. The Honolulu airport received 3.69 inches on March 5th, which accounted for 51% of the 1st Quarter total at that location. The National Weather Service issued severe thunderstorm watches for the islands of Kauai and Oahu on the night of March 5th, in addition to a severe thunderstorm warning for the island of Molokai.

Additional individual rainfall station information and specific island information for Hawaii can be found in the Monthly Precipitation Summaries.
