SYNOPSIS

NOV 20 2017 11:00:00 HST
NOV 21 2017 07:00:00 UTC

Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters:
A surface low northeast of the state will maintain northerly winds over the Hawaiian coastal waters overnight, while a lingering north swell keeps seas elevated. Winds will veer slightly to the northeast on Tuesday as the low weakens and moves farther away. Strong high pressure will build northwest of the area during the second half of the week, resulting in strong and gusty northeast trade winds over the coastal waters. Another large north swell is expected to move through the area beginning late Wednesday and continuing through Thursday night.
