SYNOPSIS FOR HAWAIIAN COASTAL WATERS:
A weakening surface ridge will remain northeast of the area today as a front approaches from the northwest. The front will move southeast through the coastal waters tonight and Saturday and stall near the Big Island Saturday night. Strong to gale force northeast winds and large rough seas are expected as a strong high moves east behind the front.
