Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters:
Building high pressure far north of the state will bring strong trade winds and elevated, rough seas through Thursday night. As the high moves away from the area later this week, the trades will gradually weaken to moderate speeds. A surface trough developing west of the area this weekend is expected to produce much lighter winds by Sunday.
