Synopsis for Hawaiian coastal waters:
A front approaching the islands from the west will bring an increase in southerly winds tonight into Thursday. The front will reach Kauai Thursday afternoon, then gradually dissipate as it stalls near Maui on Friday. Local strong northeast trades will briefly return Saturday as a surface high passes north of the islands. Then another front will enter the far western offshore waters Sunday night. This will cause the winds to veer to the south Sunday and Monday.
