DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 500 am HST, 1500 UTC, the center of post-tropical cyclone Julio was located near latitude 32.4 north, longitude 157.5 west. The post-tropical cyclone is moving toward the north near 2 mph. The remnant of Julio is expected to turn northwest and accelerate over the next 48 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph, 55 km/h, with higher gusts. Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1006 mb, 29.71 inches.
