At 1100 pm HST, 0900 UTC, the center of tropical depression Genevieve was located near latitude 9.3 north, longitude 164.2 west. The depression is moving toward the west near 16 mph, 26 km/h. This motion is expected to continue into Monday, followed by a gradual turn to the west-northwest late Monday and Tuesday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph, 55 km/h, with higher gusts. Little change is expected overnight, followed by gradual strengthening Monday and Tuesday.
