At 500 am HST, 1500 UTC, the center of tropical depression Genevieve was located near latitude 11.9 north, longitude 155.7 west. The depression is moving toward the west near 10 mph, 17 km/h. This general motion is expected to continue through Sunday night.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph, 55 km/h, with higher gusts. Some gradual intensification is forecast this weekend, and Genevieve may become a tropical storm later today or tonight.
