At 1100 pm HST, 0900 UTC, the center of tropical depression Genevieve was located near latitude 13.1 north, longitude 150.1 west. The depression is moving toward the west near 7 mph, 11 km/h. This general motion is forecast to continue through Thursday, with a slight increase in forward speed expected on Friday.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph, 55 km/h, with higher gusts. Little change in intensity is forecast through Friday.
