DISCUSSION AND 48-HOUR OUTLOOK

At 1100 am HST, 2100 UTC, the center of Tropical Depression Wali was located near latitude 16.0 north, longitude 144.0 west. The depression is moving toward the northwest near 13 mph, 20 km/h, and this motion is expected to continue until Wali dissipates within 24 hours.

Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph, 55 km/h, with higher gusts. Wali is expected to become a post-tropical remnant low within 12 hours and dissipate within 24 hours.

The estimated minimum central pressure is 1007 mb, 29.74 inches.
