At 1100 am HST, 2100 UTC, the center of tropical storm Henriette was located near latitude 15.5 north, longitude 144.0 west. Henriette is moving toward the west-southwest near 16 mph, 26 km/h, and this motion is expected to continue for the next couple of days, with a gradual increase in forward speed. On this forecast track, Henriette will pass well south of the main Hawaiian islands on Sunday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 65 mph, 100 km/h, with higher gusts. Some weakening is forecast during the next 48 hours. Henriette is forecast to weaken into a depression on Sunday.
