Tropical Cyclone Advisory Mailing List

NOTE: We apologize but if you signed up prior to May 25, and did NOT receive a welcome message, please sign up again. We apologize for this inconvience.

CPHC's tropical cyclone text products are available by email. Beginning May 21, 2007, this form will allow you to subscribe and unsubscribe to any of the lists currently offered. If you attempted to sign up prior to May 21, 2007, you must sign up again.

Please Note:This is an experimental service. Interruptions or duplications in email deliveries while we enhance the system are to be expected. Notices will be sent if any extended interruptions are encountered.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: We are currently accepting subscriptions to the advisory email lists, but we ask you to only subscribe to the lists you absolutely "must have". Because our resources are limited, we have had to limit the number of new subscribers and number of messages being sent. If we must impose future limits, a notice will be posted to this page.

NOTICE TO AOL SUBSCRIBERS: AOL subscribers who identify the CPHC email advisories as "spam" or "junkmail" to AOL will be removed from the lists per AOL's recommendation. We include instructions and addresses in every advisory to help you unsubscribe from the lists.

Disclaimer: This server may not be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Timely delivery of data and products from this server through the Internet is not guaranteed. Please read the full Disclaimer for more information.

Privacy: You must provide a valid email address to subscribe to the service. The server will reply to the address given to verify that the address is valid. Email addresses are stored on the email server only as long as the subscription is active. No copies of email addresses are made other than routine backups of the email server software. Email registrations are not made available to any other systems or entities. Individual subscribers control their subscriptions to the service, and email addresses are automatically deleted from the system when subscriptions are cancelled. No long-term records of deleted subscribers are kept.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please note that you can choose which products the CPHC issues that you would like to receive. Please only subscribe to the lists you are interested in. Each list will send an advisory for each pertinent active storm, so the number of emails increases substantially with the number of tropical cyclones the CPHC is currently tracking.

What is your email address?

Providing this information is voluntary. A valid email address is necessary in order to receive the advisories. Please see the Privacy Statement for more information on our policies regarding your information.

NOTE: the user-name portion of your email address (the part before the "@" sign) is case-sensitive. The rest of the address is not. This can cause some problems in unsubscribing if you use a different case than what you use here. We suggest that you try and match the case used in your regular email software.

CHANGING YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS: If you need to change or update your email address, we ask that you unsubscribe from the current list (see the bottom of one of our email advisories for instructions.) Then, you can visit this page and re-subscribe using your new email address.

EMAILS FOR THE EAST PACIFIC AND ATLANTIC: Email advisories for the East Pacific and Atlantic are available from the National Hurricane Center

If you have problems or questions regarding the mailing lists, please send them to W-HFO.Webmaster@noaa.gov.
