For the central North Pacific, between 140W AND 180:

Two tropical cyclones occurred in the central North Pacific
in July.

The first tropical cyclones of the official 2016 central North
Pacific hurricane season were tropical storms that originated in the
eastern North Pacific. Tropical Storm Celia was short-lived as a
tropical cyclone after crossing 140W. Tropical Storm Darby lasted
for several days before making landfall on the Big Island, and then
passing close to the smaller islands in the State of Hawaii. Darby
was the second tropical storm to make landfall in Hawaii in the last
three years, with Iselle in 2014 also making landfall on the Big
Island.
