The tropical weather summary is issued at the beginning of each month from July to December, summarizing the previous month's tropical cyclone activity.

For the Central North Pacific, between 140W AND 180

No tropical cyclones occurred in the Central Pacific Hurricane 
Center, or CPHC, Area of Responsibility during June 2016.

The 2016 Central Pacific hurricane season had an early start 
with the rare January formation of Hurricane Pali. In addition,
Tropical Depression Nine-C, which developed at the end of the 
previous year on 31 December 2015, was still active at the start 
of 2016. However, Nine-C weakened to a tropical disturbance later 
on 1 January 2016.
