TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
147 AM HST SAT SEP 3 2016

For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180:

1. The Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu, Hawaii is
issuing advisories on Hurricane Lester, under AWIPS header TCPCP1
and WMO header WTPA31 PHFO, and on the web at:
http://www.prh.noaa.gov/cphc

2. A weak surface trough associated with former tropical cyclone
Madeline is located around 100 miles southeast of Johnston Island.
Scattered thunderstorms continue to develop along the trough, but
show little signs of organization. Environmental conditions are
expected to inhibit redevelopment over the next couple of days as
it continues toward the west around 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through early Monday
morning.
