TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
740 PM HST FRI SEP 2 2016

For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180:

1. The Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu, Hawaii is
issuing advisories on Hurricane Lester, located about 270 miles
east-northeast of Hilo, Hawaii, under AWIPS header TCPCP1 and WMO
header WTPA31 PHFO, and on the web at:
http://www.prh.noaa.gov/cphc

2. A weak area of low pressure associated with former tropical
cyclone Madeline is located around 200 miles east of Johnston
Island. Scattered thunderstorms associated with this remnant low
continue to develop, but show little signs of organization.
Environmental conditions are expected to inhibit redevelopment
over the next couple of days as it continues toward the west
around 15 mph.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Sunday
evening.
