For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180:

1. A remnant trough of low pressure associated with former
tropical cyclone Howard is located near or just north of Kauai.
Although thunderstorms associated with this feature continue to
develop, upper-level winds are not conducive for redevelopment,
and the system is expected to gradually dissipate as it moves west
near 10 mph over the next couple of days.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.

2. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida has issued
their final advisory on Tropical Storm Ivette, located about 1020
miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii, under AWIPS header TCPEP5
and WMO header WTPZ35 KNHC. Ivette is forecast to weaken as it
continues toward the west around 9 mph into the Central Pacific
Hurricane Center's area of responsibility this evening. The
Central Pacific Hurricane Center will begin issuing advisories on
Ivette at 11 pm HST this evening, under AWIPS header TCPCP4 and
WMO header WTPA34 PHFO.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Tuesday
