TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
754 AM HST SAT AUG 6 2016

For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180:

1. Isolated thunderstorms associated with the post-tropical low
of former tropical cyclone Howard, which is located about 320
miles northeast of Hilo, Hawaii, and moving westward at around 12
mph. Marginal sea surface temperatures, and hostile upper level
winds are expected to inhibit redevelopment.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.

2. The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida is issuing
advisories on Tropical Storm Ivette, located about 1400 miles
east of Hilo, Hawaii. Public advisories are issued under AWIPS
header TCPEP5 and WMO header WTPZ35 KNHC. Ivette is forecast to
continue on a westward track and cross 140W into the Central
Pacific Hurricane Center's area of responsibility on Sunday
afternoon or Sunday night.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Monday
morning.
