TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
140 AM HST SAT AUG 6 2016

For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180:

1. Isolated thunderstorms are sheared from the post-tropical low
of former tropical cyclone Howard, which is located about 350
miles northeast of Hilo, Hawaii, and moving westward at 15 mph.
Marginal sea surface temperatures, and hostile upper level winds
are expected to inhibit redevelopment.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.

2. The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida is issuing
advisories on Tropical Storm Ivette, located about 1450 miles
east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. Public advisories are issued under
AWIPS header TCPEP5 and WMO header WTPZ35 KNHC. Ivette is forecast
to continue on a westward track and cross 140W into the Central
Pacific Hurricane Center's area of responsibility on Sunday.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through early Monday
morning.
