TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
755 PM HST FRI AUG 5 2016

For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180:

1. Isolated thunderstorm activity near the post-tropical low of
former tropical cyclone Howard, which is located about 450 miles
northeast of Hilo, Hawaii, and moving westward between 20 and 25
mph. Marginal sea surface temperatures and hostile upper level
winds are expected to inhibit redevelopment.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.

2. The National Hurricane Center in Miami Florida is issuing
advisories on Tropical Storm Ivette, located about 1500 miles
east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. Public advisories are issued under
AWIPS header TCPEP5 and WMO header WTPZ35 KNHC. Ivette is forecast
to continue on a westward track and cross 140W into the Central
Pacific Hurricane Center's area of responsibility on Sunday.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Sunday
evening.
