TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
748 AM HST FRI AUG 5 2016

For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180:

1. Sporadic thunderstorm activity persists near the post-tropical
low of former tropical cyclone Howard, which is located about 650
miles east-northeast of Hilo, Hawaii and moving westward near 15
mph. Marginal sea surface temperatures and hostile upper level
winds are expected to inhibit redevelopment.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.

2. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing
advisories on Tropical Storm Ivette, which is centered about 1600
miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. Public advisories are issued
under AWIPS header TCPEP5 and WMO header WTPZ35 KNHC. Ivette is
forecast to continue on a westward track and cross 140W into the
Central Pacific Hurricane Center's area of responsibility Sunday
night.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Sunday
morning.
