TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
731 PM HST THU AUG 4 2016

For the central North Pacific...between 140W and 180:

1. Thunderstorms are periodically flaring near an area of low
pressure marking the low associated with post-tropical cyclone
Howard. The low is centered about 800 miles east-northeast of
Hilo, Hawaii and is moving to the west around 15 mph. Cool sea
surface temperatures and unfavorable atmospheric conditions are
expected to inhibit redevelopment.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.

2. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing
advisories on Tropical Storm Ivette, located 1770 miles east-
southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. Public advisories on Ivette are issued
under AWIPS header TCPEP5 and WMO header WTPZ35 KNHC. Ivette is
forecast to cross 140W into the Central Pacific Hurricane Center's
area of responsibility late Sunday or Monday.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Saturday
evening.
