TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
740 AM HST MON JUL 18 2016

For the Central North Pacific...between 140W and 180:

1. A surface low, the remnant of ex-Tropical Cyclone Celia, was
centered about 220 miles northeast of Honolulu. It was moving
west at 10 mph. Atmospheric conditions are not conducive for
tropical cyclone redevelopment.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent.

2. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing
advisories on Hurricane Darby, located about 1550 miles east of
Hilo, Hawaii, under AWIPS header TCPEP5 and WMO header WTPZ35
KNHC. Darby is forecast to gradually weaken over the next couple
of days, and is expected to cross 140W into the Central Pacific
Hurricane Center's area of responsibility late Tuesday night as a
tropical storm.

Elsewhere...no tropical cyclones are expected through Wednesday
morning.
