For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A remnant trough associated with former tropical cyclone Hilda, about 435 miles south-southwest of Honolulu, Hawaii, continues to generate sporadic showers and thunderstorms. Redevelopment of this system is not anticipated due to strong upper-level winds as it tracks west to west-southwest over the next couple of days.

* Formation chance through 48 hours, low, near 0 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Sunday afternoon.
