TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
200 AM HST SAT AUG 1 2015

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing advisories on hurricane Guillermo, located 1245 miles east-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii, under AWIPS header tcpep4 and WMO header wtpz34 KNHC. Guillermo is expected to cross 140°W into the Central Pacific Hurricane Center area of responsibility later today.

2. A broad area of low pressure located about 760 miles southwest of Honolulu, Hawaii continues to generate showers and thunderstorms. Although some slow development cannot be ruled out, upper-level winds and plenty of mid-level dry air north and northeast of this feature will likely limit further development over the next couple of days as it moves west at 10 to 15 mph.

* Formation chance through 48 hours, low, near 0 percent.

3. An area of low pressure associated with post-tropical cyclone Eight-E is located about 360 miles southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. The low is generating disorganized showers and thunderstorms as it moves west at 10 to 15 mph. Redevelopment of Eight-E is not expected due to unfavorable upper-level winds over the next couple of days.

* Formation chance through 48 hours, low, near 0 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through late Sunday night.
