TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
800 AM HST THU JUL 9 2015

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. Tropical storm Ela is located about 575 miles east of Hilo, Hawaii. The Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu is issuing advisories on this system.

2. Showers and thunderstorms located about 600 miles south of Hilo, Hawaii are associated with an area of low pressure. Although environmental conditions are not conducive for significant development of this system, some slow development will remain possible during the next two days.

* Formation chance through 48 hours, low, 20 percent.

3. Showers and thunderstorms located about 925 miles southwest of Honolulu, Hawaii are associated with an area of low pressure. Environmental conditions are expected to remain conducive for gradual development as it moves slowly toward the west-northwest over the next couple of days.

* Formation chance through 48 hours, medium, 60 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Saturday morning.
