NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. An area of showers and thunderstorms is centered about 900 miles south-southeast of Hilo Hawaii. There is a low potential for development of this system as it moves west slowly. *formation chance through 48 hours, low, 10 percent.

2. An area of showers and isolated thunderstorms is centered about 1100 miles east-southeast of Hilo Hawaii. A mid and upper dry airmass near the system is expected to prevent significant development as the system moves to the northwest. *formation chance through 48 hours, low, 0 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Thursday evening.
