TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI
800 AM HST FRI AUG 15 2014

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. An area of low pressure located about 1050 miles east-southeast Hilo, Hawaii, continues to produce showers and thunderstorms. Environmental conditions may support gradual development of this system during the next two days as it moves slowly toward the west to northwest.* Formation chance through 48 hours, high, 60 percent.

2. The remnants of former tropical cyclone Julio are located about 800 miles north of Honolulu, Hawaii. Environmental conditions are not favorable for regeneration.* Formation chance through 48 hours, low, 0 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Sunday morning.
