TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
NWS CENTRAL PACIFIC HURRICANE CENTER HONOLULU HI

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing advisories on tropical depression Genevieve located about 1130 miles east southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. Genevieve is moving westward at about 10 mph, and based on the latest forecast, it will cross longitude 140°W into the area of responsibility of the Central Pacific Hurricane Center later tonight.

2. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms continued along an elongated surface trough about 600 miles south of South Point on the Big Island of Hawaii. Environmental conditions may be somewhat conducive for development of this system as it continues to move westward at about 15 mph during the next couple of days.

* Formation chance through 48 hours, low, 20 percent.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Monday evening.
