SPECIAL TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK
For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. An elongated surface trough located about 700 miles south southeast of South Point on the Big Island of Hawaii has been completely devoid of thunderstorms during the past few hours. Environmental conditions also appear to be becoming less conducive for development of this system as it continues to move westward at about 10 mph this weekend.

* Formation chance through 48 hours, low, 10 percent.

2. The National Hurricane Center in Miami, Florida is issuing advisories on recently downgraded tropical depression Genevieve, located about 1330 miles east southeast of South Point on the Big Island of Hawaii. Genevieve is moving slowly westward, and based on the latest forecast, it is expected to cross longitude 140°W into the area of responsibility of the Central Pacific Hurricane Center early Sunday morning.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through late Sunday night.
