Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. An area of disturbed weather about 1050 miles southwest of Honolulu Hawaii is moving west near 15 mph. Thunderstorms have recently increased in this area but remain disorganized at this time. There is a low chance, near 10 percent, that this area of weather will develop into a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.

2. A surface trough about 835 miles east southeast of Hilo Hawaii is moving west near 15 mph. This system remains disorganized and environmental conditions are expected to become less conducive for development during the next couple of days. This system has a low chance, 20 percent, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

3. A surface trough located about 545 miles south southeast of Hilo Hawaii is moving west near 15 mph. This system is disorganized and environmental conditions are not conducive for significant development in the near future. This system has a low chance, near 0 percent, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Friday morning.
