Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. An elongated trough of low pressure located about 775 miles southeast of Hilo Hawaii is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms, and moving west at about 15 mph. Environmental conditions do not appear favorable for further development, and this system has a low chance, near 0 percent, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

2. An elongated trough of low pressure is producing disorganized showers and a few thunderstorms about 1300 miles east-southeast of Hilo Hawaii. Environmental conditions are expected to become less favorable for development during the next couple of days. This system has a low chance, 20 percent, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours, while it moves westward at about 15 mph.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Thursday afternoon.
