For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A trough of low pressure located about 1300 miles east-southeast of the Big Island of Hawaii continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Any development of this disturbance is expected to be slow to occur as it moves westward at about 15 mph over the next few days. This system has a low chance, 10 percent, of becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Tuesday evening.
