Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. The Central Pacific Hurricane Center in Honolulu Hawaii is issuing advisories on tropical storm Henriette, located 355 miles south of South Point on the Big Island of Hawaii, under AWIPS header TCPCP3 and WMO header WTPA33 PHFO.

2. A trough of low pressure located about 1400 miles east-southeast of the Big Island of Hawaii was moving west near 10 mph. Currently, thunderstorms formation around the trough remains unorganized. Further development of this system, if any, is expected to be slow to occur during the next few days. There is a low chance, near 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through late Monday night.
