For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A gale low centered about 340 miles north-northwest of Midway atoll, or about 1460 miles west-northwest of Lihue Hawaii, was moving to the north-northeast at around 25 miles per hour. This system briefly had tropical characteristics and will continue to produce large areas of thunderstorms with strong and gusty winds as well as locally heavy rainfall. Environmental conditions are not conducive for tropical cyclone development within this area, and there is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Sunday afternoon.
