1. A non-tropical gale low centered about 250 miles east southeast of Midway atoll, or about 950 miles west northwest of Lihue hi, is moving slowly northward. Even though this system does not have tropical characteristics, it has a large area of showers and thunderstorms with strong gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall which will be affecting portions of the northwest Hawaiian islands tonight and Monday.
