Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A well-defined surface trough about 425 miles south of Hilo Hawaii is moving toward the west near 20 mph. Although isolated thunderstorms have been occasionally developing in association with the trough, environmental conditions are not conducive for intensification. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Wednesday morning.
