Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A well-defined surface trough about 650 miles southeast of Hilo Hawaii is moving toward the west at 15 to 20 mph. Although isolated thunderstorms are developing in association with the trough, environmental conditions do not appear conducive for additional development. There is a low chance, 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Otherwise, no tropical cyclones are expected through Tuesday afternoon.
