For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A weak low pressure system, the remnant of Daniel, was centered about 940 miles west southwest of Kauai and moving west around 15 mph. Isolated thunderstorms were forming along the east edges of the low due to the presence of an upper level low above. But conditions remain favorable for re-development. There is a very low chance, near 0 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours.

2. A low pressure system, the remnant of Emilia, was centered about 725 miles southeast of Hilo and moving west around 17 mph. Conditions are not favorable for re-development. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Wednesday morning.
