For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A weak surface low centered about 900 miles south southwest of Lihue, Hawaii is moving slowly westward. This low has disorganized showers and thunderstorms associated with it. No significant development of this system is expected during the next couple of days, since it is expected to remain embedded within an east to west oriented surface trough. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Tuesday evening.
