Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A persistent, slow-moving area of low pressure about 800 miles southwest of Kona Hawaii is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Upper-level winds are expected to remain unfavorable for additional development during the next couple of days as the low moves slowly west. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Tuesday afternoon.
