For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A compact center of low pressure located about 600 miles south of Hilo, Hawaii, moved west at 10 to 15 mph. Associated thunderstorm coverage remained inconsistent, and upper-level winds were only marginally conducive for further development. There is a low chance, near 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Otherwise, no tropical cyclones are expected through Sunday evening.
