For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. Showers and thunderstorms associated with a weak surface low are located about 800 miles south southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. Although the thunderstorms near the low increased in coverage and intensity earlier tonight, environmental conditions appear to be unfavorable for significant development of this system as it moves westward at about 10 mph. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this system developing into a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through late Thursday night.
