Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. Thunderstorm coverage has decreased during the past six hours along a surface trough 775 miles southeast of Hilo. The trough is moving to the west at 17 mph into an area where hostile winds aloft will be developing over the next couple of days. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Otherwise, elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Thursday morning.
