Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. Thunderstorm activity persists along a nearly east to west oriented surface trough located about 1000 miles southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. A weak disturbance embedded in the trough near 12°N 142°W is drifting northward and is not showing signs of increased organization over the past six hours. This system has a low chance, 10 percent, of developing into a tropical cyclone within the next 48 hours.

Otherwise, elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Monday afternoon.
