For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. An area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms, which is associated with a weak east to west oriented surface trough, is located about 700 miles south southeast of Hilo, Hawaii. Environmental conditions do not appear conducive for any significant development of this trough as it moves slowly westward during the next couple of days. As a result, there is a low chance, 10 percent, of this system becoming a tropical cyclone during the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Monday evening.
