Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. An area of thunderstorms associated with a weak surface trough centered about 750 miles to the south southeast of Hilo Hawaii. The area remains poorly organized and is generally moving toward the west at around 15 mph. There is a low chance, 10 percent, of a tropical cyclone developing within this trough over the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Friday afternoon.
