Tropical Weather Outlook RSS Feed

For the central north Pacific, between 140°W and 180.

1. A low level trough centered about 540 miles southeast of the Big Island is moving west at around 15 mph. There are isolated thunderstorms associated with the trough but there are no signs of organization at this time. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this feature becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.

2. Another low level trough entered about 1000 miles southwest of Kauai is moving west at around 15 mph. There are isolated thunderstorms associated with the trough and the ITCZ but there are no signs of organization at this time. There is a low chance, near 0 percent, of this feature becoming a tropical cyclone in the next 48 hours.

Elsewhere, no tropical cyclones are expected through Saturday morning.
